teaching this weekend

Hey, guess what?!?

I've got a class coming up this weekend - my second time teaching at Scrap N' Yap in Monrovia. The class was originally scheduled for May, but due to circumstances at the store outside of everyone's control my class had to be postponed.

So, while this was originally envisioned as a "spring" theme class, thanks to the breezy, fresh appeal of the Dear Lizzy line (American Crafts), this book really would work for summer photos too. The "You Make Me Smile" album is a mini book (6x6), with chipboard covers and eight interior cardstock pages. I've used lots and LOTS of die cuts and other cute accents to give it a whimsical, fun feel. Plus, I'll be teaching students how to do a "perfect binding" which is a great technique to use in future projects.

If you're local to SoCal and you're looking for a good excuse to beat the heat this weekend, come on down to Monrovia and join me!

Here are some peeks at the inside of the book:

This mini banner is really easy and fun to make!

This is a cd envelope so that you can store more photos right inside the book.

Hope I see you there!

fantastic friday: class kickoff AND shophop!

I'm pretty excited to get back home on Friday because not only will we be hosting another mah-velous Class Kickoff at Scrappin' Good Times, but it is ALSO the kickoff day for SoCal ShopHop. I expect things will be pretty hoppin' at the store (word to the wise: if you're thinking of signing up for a class and can make it to kickoff - DO!)

Pics for the SGT classes are starting to pop up on the website, but here are some "extra" sneaky peeks of my classes:

Here is the cover of "You Are My Sunshine

And a sort of interior view (a tease, if you will!)

So, I hope I'll see you on Friday for the Big Night! Be sure and tell me hi if you do stop by. Until then!

kickoff this week ... here's a sneak peek

It's that time again! Class Kick-off is on Friday, June 5th 5pm-7pm. I haven't seen all the samples yet, but I *do* get an early preview of the class titles/descriptions from all the teachers and there are some great summer classes on the July and August roster. I get as excited as anyone about seeing the actual samples the night of kickoff.

I'll have two classes on the July-August schedule - one is a family themed chipboard mini album (that's the one in the pic above) using Graphic 45 papers and the other one is a paper bag album using K & Company papers.

Hope to see you at kickoff!

Here is a little taste of one of the classes I'm working on for the next session at Scrappin' Good Times:

In case you can't tell, I've been having fun playing with Glimmer Mist and Stickles.

anna griffin

How could I do anything BUT fall in love with the rich yummy goodness of Anna Griffin products. I especially love her embellishments, but the Peyton and Georgette lines have really got me excited.

Take a look-see...
