Greetings from Vegas, NV!

We've been catching up on our zzzzzz's, relaxing, lounging and being generally LAZY here for our first day. Went to the pool for a bit yesterday, but we seriously need LOTS more quality water time before this vacation will be in full swing.

Last night I got my scrap on and made 12 cards from my card-making box (see this blog entry for more on that). The one at the top of this post was my fave, but here are some more:

up to my eyeballs

Been super duper busy, but then you probably guessed that from my lack of blog posts. I know I've been tagged by lots of fun folks and I promise to get down to business with posting and tagging soon.

In the meantime, I just wanted to post a quick pic of today's make-n-take card. I'll be at Scrappin' Good Times from 11:30am until 1:00pm doing this free project. It is a gatefold "Thanks" card using lots of Quickutz die cut leaves on a Cookie Cutter scalloped circle base. It has a surprise closure feature. Hope I see some of you!

five minutes or less

That's how long it takes to do the free make-n-take at Scrappin' Good Times. I know you're busy. I know you're at work, or you're running errands or you just have too much on your plate. But if you're going to be near the store anyway, and can pull just a few minutes out of your day then I hope I'll see you.

This month's card uses a bold graphic paper. A less-than-girly paper. And there's a reason for that people. Next week is BOSSES DAY! What a great time to pop into the store and whip out a card for the boss (yes this one works for male or female bosses) and put a few things in a basket for yourself too.

Maybe you don't have a boss. Maybe you don't want to give your boss a card. That's okay --we'll be doing thank you cards too.

Hope I see you tomorrow at the store. I'll be there from 11am until 1pm.

I really want to blab about the SoCal ShopHop, but...
It is late
and
I am tired

The short version recap is that I am almost done hop-hop-hopping. Visited a couple of stores on Sunday then managed to stop by seven more on Sunday and a whopping 12 on Monday (sheesh, is that right? --it doesn't seem possible all of a sudden). I snagged a couple more stamps in my passport today --only SIX more to go!

In local news, tomorrow is free make-n-take Wednesday at Scrappin' Good Times. This is the quickie card I've come up with for us. Hope I see you!

Here it is! The exclusive Quickutz Revolution die from Scrappin' Good Times. Isn't it cute? It's the same design we have on our store tee-shirts, by none other than our very own Joy Campbell (who also designed the mk-n-tk pictured above).

I was just thinking how the die gives more options than the obvious design it's made for. Think of all the uses for the individual elements in the set. I was just looking for a tiny crown for the QK mk-n-tk I did last month and ended up having to use a punchie because the current QK crown is more of a tiara. This one would've been perfect!

Anyway, this has been a very exciting week at the store with the new QK Cookie Cutter release and the debut of the SGT exclusive die. BTW, the die is already available for pre-order on the Scrappin' Good Times site.

Hot Diggety Dog, only 3 days more!

Only got a couple of things more to finish up before we leave. I'm hoping to get started on packing tomorrow since we have a busy Saturday and want to leave early on Sunday.

I saw on the news today that the weather is pushing 116 in Vegas. YIPES! They were also reporting scattered power outtages (no, pleeeeeeeze!) Well, let's say I'm hoping for a cooling trend.
