hey there, hi there, ho there

'member me? I'm the gal who used to post on this blog every couple-a days. Whatever happened with that? Aw, you know the old song and dance... been so busy... have no time... yada, yada, yada.

Well, we'll see what I can do about that. Sigh. I've heard that the word "no" is very effective and I hear myself saying it *all* the time (really, I do), but still the load seems to remain the same (with the occasional variation).

So what's on the current slate of activities here? Well, I'm glad you asked! I have a class this weekend - "We Are Family" chipboard display. It's a set of 6" chipboard letters that spell out the word "family" on one side. My idea when I designed this one was to create something lovely that could be displayed on a mantle or shelf, but could also serve a dual purpose. So while the front of this garland-y item is all embellishments and texture, the reverse is a solid 'canvas' for adding family photos. I really had fun creating this one --I'm loving the rich fall colors in the project. In fact, I know why they felt so welcoming --these are the colors I've used throughout my home. Now I just need to decide which room I'll display it in after the class. Hmmm....

(BTW, there are a few seats left for this class. Just dial up the store if you'd like to sign up. Here's a link to the store's webpage: SGT)

Hey Cindy,
I hear ya on the "no", "No", "NO", "NOOOO!!" Problem is they just don't take "no" for an answer!

I love the Family Chipboard display and thanks in advance for a little inspirational kick in the pants. Just what I needed to go produce something!

See ya soon!
