not so fair day at the fair

It was a dark and stormy night...

Actually not so stormy (and not night either come to think of it), but get a load of that dark brooding sky. This pic is from very late in the day right before we left for home. However, even earlier the weather was nothing like it was when I went on opening day two weeks earlier. NOT that I'm complaining! My daughter and I loved the cool breezy weather during our visit this past weekend. I don't think I can remember a day at the fair when we weren't enduring heat in a greater or lesser degree.


We stopped to watch a dance performance by the Otero Dance Company first. This picture above was a total fluke --just happened to snap it at the perfect moment to catch the dip. (There is a totally gorgeous professional portrait of this same moment at their website. I think it's so strange that I captured the same moment totally by accident.)
